boost actuator
does anyone know how the boost actuator works? i know how to adjust it (thanx pete), i kneed to know how it works i could sware it used to move up while in idle and then when i hit the gas it would move down to the small bump stop. now it just stays down as if i was always in boost.
i know they work on vacuum. can these things go bad? i triple checked all my vacuum lines. but i just can figure it out. any help or info would be greatly appreciated.
thank you

valve
Hi the pink line goes on the top port. the black goes on the gack lower port. Make shure you have vac on the pink line at idle, plunger should pull up at idle and crusing then drop on accl.

THe bypass should be up until vacum is no longer present which closes the valve(lowers to the stop) I have a spare eaton that im look at and have worked and adjusted my stock bypass.
i just checked it and there is definitely vac. so that mean that the plunger is messed up right? well i called Downs ford and they want $180 for it!!!! WTF?? does anyone know where i can get one any cheaper?
