N.O.S. Dry sytem

Anyone here using a nitrous dry system?

The reason for a wet system is to make up for injectors that aren't big enough to add the extra fuel or to make it so you don't need a computer program to add the extra fuel to the truck.

I would go a dry shot and have a computer program done to add the extra fuel so you don't go lean. You also don't have to worry about fuel puddling and nitrous backfire on a dry system. I vote dry!

Go into ANY Nitrous Companys FAQ's and you will see,
each and everyone will reccommend WET ONLY when it
comes to Superchargers + Turbo's.
Dry are fine for many applications, BUT NOT OURS
Some do it and have no prob's, but I wouldn't.

With my Wet Zex System I've never had "or heard of anyone"
puddling or having Nitrous Backfires. It's a great
little system that works flawlessly without the prob's usually
associated with Wet Systems.

Well, it may work on these trucks but I've always heard don't spray a wet shot on a vehicle that didn't have an intake manifold designed to flow fuel. On an old carb motor it's fine because the manifold is designed to flow fuel. On our motors the intakes are designed to flow the right amount of air. Nothing about liquids. Blue Oval Performance even told me that about the lightnings, use dry.

I also just asked a couple tuners I know and they said for boost run dry. They deal with imports though.

I`m only asking because I have a dry system from a mustang I used to own. And now I would like to install on the "L" this spring. I`m only looking for a 20 to 50 shot out of it.

THEN YOU ARE FINE AND YES CAN USE A DRY SYSTEM

I started out by deciding on a dry system myself back then, and for all the reasons posted above, but at 75HP I DO NOT trust the Computer to add the NEEDED fuel, and much rather spray the fuel in along with the Nitrous.

50 HP or less Dry would work fine on the Lightning,
What will you use as a trigger ??? A micro Switch ??? Voltage from the TPS ??? a Window Switch ???

Jim, I don't suggest the dry shot on the Lightnings. The wet makes more power at the same "rating" and the trucks benefit from it more as the fuel helps cool the blower and aircharge. Dry kits are also harder on your fuel pumps.

However, if all you want to run is a 50 shot, then you could use that kit. We can get you on the dyno and tune you in. With a 50 shot, we could even disable the fuel side of the nitrous system and add your fuel through the tune, eliminating the added pressure on the fuel pumps.

Okay LightningTuner. This spring definitely. We need to talk, nitrious, dyno tune, ported blower, tuning, whatever. I`d like MORE power soon. I will call to make an apointment this spring.
