Thumbs up Here's a pic of the Mart Man's latest mod

After months of waiting, I finally got one of the mods I've been wanting. Mad props to Clint W. for hooking me up on this one. This is Ford's soft tonneau. I didn't have the ability to get an L with the tonneau when I bought it. So, when I ordered Clint's L for him, he let me order the soft tonneau option so I could get the factory Ford cover. Clint is over in Bagdad right now working hard for our country. Best wishes and safety to him. He's got quite a few plans made for his L already. His mom relayed to me that he's going to spank my L after he gets back home and has a chance to do some mods to his. It'll no doubt be fun. Now for the photo.

My truck came with the soft tonneau and I absolutely love it. If it had come without it I too would have ordered one. Looks awesome, you should also seriously consider getting the BedRug from Chikenears http://www.chikenearsengineering.com/bedrug.htm I bought mine a week ago and it only took 2 days from the time I order it to receive it.

I haven’t yet installed it since it is to cold. I believe it needs to be in the upper 60’s to install it properly so when the temp is right I will install it. I think it makes a great addition to the soft tonneau…

I can also tell you that you won't find the BedRug anywhere cheaper...

Does that tonneau pop up? and does water leak inside.
I have a bed rug, don't want it to get wet.

No, it rolls up and you have two straps to secure it in the rolled up position. The back rail slides out as well as the 2 center support rails to fully open up the bed. Don't know about the leaking part yet. It's supposed to rain today. I guess I'll find out then.

Rob: My camera is a 2.0 megapixel, what's yours? Mine seems to do great on indoor and well lit situations, but not so good in lower light like cloudy days. Go figure.

Mart Man,

Know anywhere I can get that exact cover? Ford's OEM one that you order after purchasing (those of us without the tonno option at time of purchase) is completely different. My dealer ordered it for me and I didn't like it AT ALL so I took it back.

I don't. That's why I was trying so hard to find the factory one. It installs in a snap with just a 5mm allen wrench. Clamps to the underside of the bed rails in 4 places. Then you insert the support ribs, slide the cover into the slot at the front, and stretch it out and clip it under the small lip of the rails. Took me about 10 minutes. I have a customer that ordered the soft tonneau for his and he plans on putting a hard cover on. If you send me your email, I'll give it to him so he can contact you when he's ready to go with the hard shell.
