misfirering at wot

ok.

so i've noticed lately that when i'm going 60 then stomp on it to wot, i start misfiring

today i had the music up so loud i didn't hear it and the freaking engine killed at 70mph, so i put it in N and started it back up.

everything rans fine at part throttle and at idle. even when i rev it up all the way to 5500 no misfire

i pulled my chip and that didn't help.

i pulled #1 plug it looked fine, didn't have time to look at the rest

this is a new thing, and i've had the same mods for almost a year now

now it might be a couple of plugs that can't jump the gap at wot and full boost

or it might be that i'm not getting enough gas at wot

thats all i can think of

what do you guys think ???

if the spark plug blew out it would do it all the time

i'm gapped at .034 right now, but the others i didn't check might be fouled

changed the fuel filter yesterday, still doing it

If you continue to have problems, rule out these as the culprit: fuel filter, plugs, coil packs, and fuel pump

If you're running Denso's that's the same problem I was having.. I pitched them and put in NGK's. no more misfire....JR

just my opinion...................

I think its a BR7EF but that is just from memory.

My input is this.....some levels of detonation feels like a misfire, you can't really here it....just feels like the engine is cutting out a little.
