Question Fuel Injector Cleaner with L motor?

First the reason I post this question here is my own ignorance as to if the Lightning motor 5.4 S/C, being high performance is somehow different then a regular 5.4. I just don’t know so I thought it best to post here.

Ok, on to my question. I have always used fuel injector cleaner at every oil change of 3,000 miles on all my vehicles in the past. Is there any reason “not” to use a fuel injector cleaner every oil change, or at all with the 5.4 S/C motor?

Thanks for your input...

No reason not to, but there is also no reason to use a fuel injector cleaner at every oil change either if you are buying quality gas. We are a Chevron distributor here in the northwest and I've talked to many techs regarding Techron, which is one of the best. They say Chevron has the additives blended into the fuel and will keep the injectors clean. They suggest a once or twice a year dose of the Techron concentrate available at the auto stores as a preventative maintenance.

I agree that using a good quality gasoline with additives is ideal, but how does the average Joe know what he's really getting?

I've used Lucas for years now, including my L which has 37K. I add 3oz for every 10gal gas every fillup. Besides, it has an upper cylinder lube which can't hurt either. As you know Lucas is big in the racing sceen. Check out their website www.lucasoil.com.
I am in no way affiliated with or promoting their products, I've just had good results using them.
