I think Key word here think that JL is having a special on a predator and pulley. I might have dreamed this or soemthing but someone has a predator and pulley combo. I had all my mods way before all these programers and specials came into play.

Doesn't make much sense if you could buy the whole package from tuner Y to start with, does it?

Even if it costs a few $ more or less it makes more sense buying from the TUNER that will be the one sending you the custom tunes for your vehicle. As for me, I opted to go with Sal at PSP.
Unlike the rest and fortunately for many of us, Sal is the only one that provides the serial cable and the power supply that you have to have. He provides this for us as part of his Predator package. He was the only one that had the concern and insight to provide the necessities. Geeeez, Diablo Sport the maker of Predator even dropped the ball terribly on this. Sal gets $419.00 plus a few $ shipping. Indeed, you can get the Predator from other vendors BUT out of all those vendors there is about 3 all together that I would trust to make a custom tune for my L. The others either provide no custom tune or are not known for their expertise in Lightning tunes. As for Sal we know he has a very good reputation as L racer and tuner, etc.. I can tell you that there are vendors/guys with pricing a tad lower and giving you that good ole boy sales / buddy talk but look through that. You want a guy that can tune your L properly, safely and more... even if a few $ more and even if you don't get that good ole boy chittt..

Sal is always my first choice when it comes to tuning. I have a back up chip that JLP tunes for me that works damned well, also. I've never had anything, tuning wise, from JDM; but, I would trust them to send out a good tune as well. Aside from a reflash, that's the end of my list of people that I would trust with my baby. Danny Swanson and Mike Troyer are reportedly very good as well. I just trust the experience level of the Sal, John, and Jim more.

Along with the cables do you also include the power adapter you need and a custom tune as Sal at PSP does? Just curious..
Yes we sell it with the cable and AC adapter needed to install custom tunes! We also do free custom tunes if purchased from us or can purchase them if the Predator was purchased elseware.

Seems you are tuned in so to speak as I am. SURE, you can save $ buying the Predator from one of the low ball, renengade Predator vendors but I say forget that. Why would anyone go with a bad tuner, chitttt talker, etc. just to save $20-30 on a Predator.
A real big mistake letting just anyone tune your ($30,000+) L so you can save frigggin $30.00+-. Talk about foolish.. Again, you and I know best bet is to pick a terrific tuner and then pay whatever to get the hardware necesssary whether chip or Predator. Remember the expression "you get what you pay for"

Terrific, glad you took Sal's insight and lead and opted to offer the cable AND transformer just like him. You don't sell tunes authored by Sal do you.. ahhh, too bad.

Was just thinking, aren't you the one that I purchased my TSTAT from recently. The TSTAT arrived without factory packaging. I emailed you and asked that you verify it was the correct TSTAT. I asked you to check markings on your stock to see that for sure I had the correct TSTAT. You emailed back that I should just trust you and basically would not check/ verify the TSTAT. I ended up having to telephone call JDM and telling them my plight. They without hesitation went back to the shelf and checked their bulk stock and verified I had the right TSTAT. Even though they did not sell me the product they excelled at customer service. Oh, why did I want the TSTAT # verified.... well, because so many guys have been sent the wrong TSTAT by a vendor.. I emailed this to you after my original emails and you chose to ignore my email. That's ok, I'd still recommend you as a good source for parts, etc......

I think you would be suprised at how many L's and Cobra's James at Runnin' with the Devil has had on the dyno. I know almost everyone locally uses him, and he always has someone driving in from hours away.

No matter who you buy it from you still need to get the A/F's checked. And if you have a tuner that is within driving distance I would suggest using them.
