I would love to that twisty stuff, but I have heard to many cooked rotor stories and such... if I was rich and had brembos then Id be right there...otherwise it would feel like Im torturing her

most of the "horror stories" are from owners of brand new trucks...people who end up only getting 5-10 k miles out of their pads...if they are lucky enough not to crack their rotors from excessive heat build up.

Most auto-X or Solo II events aren't long enough to crack or harm any rotors. The HST (High Speed Touring) though is a little long and a day at the track can harm them. Make sure your pads are good, if not you will eat some rotors. Friend did that but the good news, sloted and dimpled rotors replced them and they stop like crazzy now. Its bunches of fun!!!

good info phillip, thanks

I am thinking instead of building a track monster to built a good-performing autocross/handling machine. thinking rousch suspension, 1/3 drop, bada$$ rotors/brembos etc to compliment 4 lb pulley and chip. I think that'd make for one great track machine. we'll see! (I just got a job, so I'm thinking about mods now, lol!)

Sounds good to me, then you can drive my truck at the strip and I'll drive yours at autocrosses
