Finished up some mods today (pics)

First was the gauges I got for Christmas, Autometer Lunar series, boost, tranny temp and oil pressure
Daytime view (I had a hell of a time getting the lotek pod to fit with no gap on the top, what you see in the pic is the best I could do and still have the bottom kind of line up...)

night time view:

Next, I polished the exhaust tips. The pics do no justice, they look stunning in person.

part 2

I think this makes the truck look 100 times better:

I installed a sub and amp to get some more thump (also seen is the Delphi Roady satelite radio, not fully installed yet)

Here is the amp in the amp rack with the arm rest up:

Here's a pic wit hthe arm rest down (please excuse the scratches on the amp, it's old and has been moved around a bunch... I'm going to paint it when it warms up a bit)

here's a night shot:

And finally, I built a cnc engraver/ mill in my basement, and this is a failed attempt at the window for the amp rack (the lettering wasn't centered). Once I get this in there it will be complete:

F* up! Giv'em a brake!

G1K,
The pod is a pain in the ***** to get to sit in just right, but looks good! Tires are a bit Nascar like, but I give you props on tryin something new. Its always good to be different, and you might have pulled it off since its a black L. Even though the sub box is big, it looks clean, and the amp rack is sweet especially with the light! Just need to paint the amp, and clean up the wires, which YOU SAID you were gonna do. No pain my brotha!

if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all...

at first I didn't like the tires, and I still wouldn't like them on my truck, but I do think they look kindof cool. different at the very least. prolly looks decent on a black truck.

the one thing i hate about this board is no one tells the truth about anything............everyone says everyones "mods" are great!! someone needs to tell the truth and tell them it looks like ****. I really hope you'd tell me something looked like **** if it really did. I was honest. awell. you guys said the same thing only not as harsh........dont beat around the bush.

A mod that might look "great" to you, might not be great for someone else. A mod is a mod. Most people are at this forum because they like to mod their cars. They look around for other people's ideas and thoughts. Although you might not like what G1k has done with his car, im sure he does, and thats all that matters. You are entitled to your own opinion as well. If you dont like his mods, state that you dont like it, but saying that his car is in "pain" is not the way to go. Dont help nuttin at all. And its not a matter of telling the truth or not. The truth dont have to be in a jackas$ tone. I think his mods are creative...keep on truckin bro!

To answer your questions, 1. Big box is in front: In case you didn't know, behind the seats is a storage box that runs the width of the space behind the rear seats. I use this storage space. If I put the speaker on top, I wouldn't be able to open the storage box. In its current location is is easy to remove should I have to carry a 3rd passenger (ver rare). If I removed the storage box, again I wouldn't be able to use it. Same goes for the amp. With it's current position, it does not hinder the operation of the arm rest, seats, or storage box.

The roady (xm is a service, not a device) just happened to be on the box when I took the picture. If you bothered to read my post "also seen is the Delphi Roady satelite radio, not fully installed yet)" it states not fully installed. This device is suppoded to be mounted via a swivel type bracket such that it can be switched from one vehicle to another. The wires you see are the power, tape player, and antenna. The tape player wire will be there indefinitly, unless I get an FM modulator, which has poorer sound. The power wire will be integrated as well as the antenna wire.

JimJr, lets see a pic of your truck, I bet there's something on it that I don't like... but you wouldn't see me typing that it's in pain. I think the only thing that is in pain is your sense of respect, and your tactfulness or lack of.

Thanks for the compliments to everyone else. BTW, the tires were done with a paint marker found at any craft type store.

amp racks cool, had one made for my boys T-bird w/rockford fosgate logo cut out & neon behind to catch the edges.

Superfords I respectfully disagree. If I do something mod wise and it sucks, personally I would like to know. Sometimes a different set of eyes can put a new perspective on the situation. If we all took to heart what you said, then you would let your buddies walk around with their flies down because, well, it's not nice to tell somebody their fly is down. Yeah, extreme case but you get the point.

However I do agree that there is always a good way to say something tactful, if we try. Have a good day.
