I got this emblem off the stock airbox and made a bracket to mount the emblem off the airfilter I think it makes it look kind of stock like it belongs there

What do you think? Am I asking for it or what?

Personally, I do not like it.. sorry....... Have you considered something like this which can be had for about $40.00 and is custom made with your L's build # and build date.. Here is the one mounted in my L's engine compartment on the radiator shroud...

 

No, Ford does not sell that emblem. Only way is to buy the stock airbox. You can find the airbox with sticker on eBAY for about $20..

A few months ago I worked with a guy that owns a machining company and that does billet stuff. We came up with the frame as shown. Total cost is $46.00 which includes the stainless steel mounting hardware and the shipping. Again, I am not the seller. Can tell you the $46 is well worth it for this custom frame. A bunch of guys purchased them and not one unhappy customer. The fellow making them is one of the most decent business people I know and turns out terrific product.
