Ported Blower

Think i'm going to go with one of the ported blowers but have a quick question. Is it easy for Ford to tell that its ported without actually taking it off? If its not that easy then sign me up. Whos getting the most gain right now?

Yes...very easy if the failure is major. They will have to pull the blower to replace the block or heads or any other major problem in the engine. They will see it right off the bat.

My suggestion would be to not mod it if you are wanting Ford to pay for a screw up.

Nothing personal my friend, but why should Ford pay for rod failure because YOU chose to sock extra boost to the engine.

i in no way want ford to cover for my screw up. All i want is to be able to pull into the dealership for a suspension problem or something completely unrelated and not walk out with a voided warranty for no reason. so i take it you cant see any change from the outside.

No...you can't see any difference from the outside. Sorry I misunderstood your intentions. I see so many jag offs around here crying about Ford voiding warranty that I am a bit harsh about it....again...my appologies.

Oh, by the way...modding part of the motor is not suppose to cause a voided warranty on a totally unrelated part.

it doesn't matter if it is ported or not.
the dealership MUST PROVE that the porting caused the failure.

i thought alot of dealers dont even bother with this and just void it and call it a day. Can you ask that they prove it?

It should be that wat, but from my own experience it isn't that way.

Maybe some dealerships would help you out, but the 2 I have been to wouldn't.

they have to prove that the modification caused the failure to void a warranty.

If they saw all my mods and said my warranty was voided due to it, and it was unrelated, I wouldn't screw around. Straight to court.
Buit my truck has been out of warranty for a while ('1999 with 16,000 miles currently) (too old, no extended warranty)

Ford does this B.S. because they think they can get away with it and no one will challenge them. No one sticks up for themselves.

A lot of manufactures do this. Why? Because just like you said, they know people won't fight it. Why do people not fight it? Because it's simply not worth it. If you want to be without your truck for a year +, and pay your lawyer MUCH more money then it would have been to just fix the truck in the first place, go for it. It sucks, but that's the way it is.

Cool TO ALL WHO PLAN TO HAVE BLOWER PORTED/??

They will be more vendors who will be porting blowers which is good. but make sure you are tuned for it if you are running pulleys chip cold air etc/ timing is an important key to much timing plus detonation can result in "BOOM" then its all over/

My question is this. Would porting my eaton be bennificial with no other mods at all? I only have a panel filter, and cat-back. I just want more go, but I don't want to add pulley's and chips yet.
