hey SLVRLTNG,
where did you drill and put the 6 mounting tabs "those thingies" that attach the pod to the pillar?

I didn't use them. I just drilled and put 1 screw that I painted up towards the top. It was a tight fit without using the "pins".....JR

I just put in (2 months ago) an Autometer dual guage pod and Autometer Phantom guages. I didn't use the mounting tabs either. Instead, I just used some velcro on the very top so it would make taking the pod and/or the guages out very easy if I needed to in a hurry.

autometer pod

i used the autometer mod, but had to modify my stock a pillar to get it to fit. The autometer pod attaches to your stock a-pillar. I had to cut the the interior section out, leaving the outside edges and I believe two cross pices that clip to the frame. I used the 6 pins on mine, just drill small holes. I painted the pillar red to go with my interior, and the black fasteners gave it a cool kinda factory look. But without modifying the stock plastic, there wasn't enough room for the guages and wires to fit, and yes i cut the studs off the back of the guages. I used the phantom's by the way.

Gauges touched up since pic taken. Green LED for low speed e-fan and red for high. Autometer pillar and Phantom full sweep mechanical gauges. Digital tranny is Cyberdyne.

Should I get the lotek 3 pod or autometer? I like the idea of the lotek because it comes painted to match, right? But, I also have read of fitment issues
