My buddy sold his L
A very good friend of mine(redlightspecial) sold his 2001 L the other day for a new, never titled 2003 Zo6 Corvette.
We usually race together at least once a month up at St. Thomas Dragway so needless to say, it will be very interesting this year. I can only hope that I will beat him once or twice before he gets the handle on shifting that thing at the track.
The friendly banter has already started, as he emailed me the other day saying that he wants to borrow my L to tow his vette to the track. Of course I emailed him back stating that he must have mean't to tow his Vette BACK from the track.Hehe!
Although we have lost another L brother to the dark side I must admit that what he got is a very worthwhile trade. It's a beautiful car and he kindly let me drive it the other day and it goes like a bat outta hell.
I am so looking forward to this years racing. Win or lose, it's going to be alot of fun.
Anyhoo, I'm really happy for him as this has been a dream of his for a long time. I'm sure he is going to enjoy it for a long time to come. Trader!! Hehe!

I'd love to have either one, but I don't think I could trade the L on one.

Sorry to hear we lost an L brother. I think I like the sloping back glass of the regular C5 better than the chopped off rear glass you get on the Z06. Love that blue though.
Are they going to call the '05 Vette a C6? The pictures I saw look more like a freshining more than a re-design. Since I got my L I haven't spent any time reading up on Chevy's.
