Question Quick Brake Pad Question..

Well after 45k miles its time for new pads...believe it or not I still have the originals on there...they still have about 15% but are squeeling a bit more than I can stand. I have already done a search in the forum...but there was too much BS to sort through...and I couldnt find any part #s

I just need to know a few things...

1. Napa Ceramic part #s ? cost?
2. Hawk Part #s ? cost?
3. Any recomendations on fluid?

I dont need a high peformance pad that dusts everywhere, as long as it stops at least as good as stock then Im happy. I have a light foot when it comes to braking..and only go to the track a few times a year.

Thanks in advance to whoever replys

a friend has the Hawk pads (one in the picture) and also has slotted dimpled rotors, and from a high speed stop at night, spark's will fly from the pads. They stop good though.

I heard from my mechanic that ceramic pads will warp the rotors overtime.... anyone have more info on this?

Im about to need brake pads on my L and i only have 19,000 miles on her. The pads had about 15% left the other day when i got my new tires and i looked at them. I think im gonna go with the Napa pads.

Steeeev:

I think that only happens when you have a heavy foot or race a lot. They probably heat up quicker than those pads made for track racing, probably not a good pad if you run on the track every month...or run those twistie tracks

I did a set a couple weeks ago.

This PN should be good nationwide.

on the Napa ceramix.

Probably don't need the rears. Mine were 50% while the front were gone at 52 k miles.

A reminder to check the driver's side inside pad as it can wear faster than the rest.
