Angry Ruined a good night!

So I'm heading back from my girlfriends apt after the philly car show and I have about a 45 minute drive. I get into my town and everything is completely iced over.
So I don't even touch the gas all the way home cause i'm spinning all over the place.

As I pull in the driveway and go around back to turn around like I usually do (moving about 5mph), the truck completely breaks loose and I realize the driveway is a complete sheet of black ice...
There was nothing I could do but watch as I slam the front bumper into my basketball hoop's steel pole.

I had such a good time at the auto show tonight, and this has to happen. I couldn't even back up out of the snow bank and pole because of the ice, I wasn't moving anywhere. The back end was just sliding out toward my roomates 02 Camaro. I can see that the paint is all messed up and there are some cracks and deep scratches on the bumper

As my dad always said: Why the F*CK me?!

Sorry for your misfortune, as Ice is one of the worst things you can drive in. Hope everything turns out okay for you.

that realllllly blows

Thats why my Lightning stays in the garage during the winter. Also the blower is missing, so that might have something to do with it

Sorry Jon, that truly does suck,
especially when you FINALLY make it home through that crap,
and then it happens in your own driveway

I don’t think I would ever try to drive in snow of any kind with these trucks.. Granted I live in FL, I do have family in Maryland... they gave me a 95 f150 with a 5 speed while I was there a couple years back, to drive around town while I was staying there.

It was about the stressful thing ever... lots of hills, ice, snow and here I am in a stick shift truck...having never driven in snow before... I was worried about damaging it the whole time, I didn’t drive it but a few times, but that was enough for me to know I will never live where it snows.
:santa:

Dude that's really messed up. Getting all the way home, and then in your own driveway. I think I'm with KONIG on this one. I wouldn't ever want to live where it snows. I've had to drive in it a couple of times, and had some pretty hair raising encounters. Hey, maybe since I don't have hair any more, I'd be OK. LOL

Well heres the damage this morning, not as bad as I thought but still sucks regardless. I was planning on painting it later on anyway because I had scraped the bottom on a curb, but you could barely see it from eye level. At least I don't need a new bumper.

You touched it . I never do less than $1500.00 damage, to boot my employee did the F-350 the same day and then I hit a water truck a day later in the F-350.
