how many L owners have Harley davidsons?

I just bought a new 04 Fat boy.It is a limited 1 of 200 made with cobalt/cobalt paint set ($2500) extra OUCH!!LOL It also is being built with mega amounts of chrome and all LED lights with clear turn signals. Its getting delivered next weekend. How many of you have HDs?. These things are almost as much as our trucks now but hold a gret resale and are just as fun to mod, actually more expensive. One little shift linkage was $199 DAMN!!!! ill have pics in a few weeks .

I gotta say (not cause its mine either ), This bike is incredible to look at!

I'm just about 55yo and I have been riding Harleys since I was 16yo. I've had so many new ones I don't remember each one I owned....seriously. The one I have presently have is an '00 Sportster that I bought new and proceeded to mod, etc.. Has Andrews camset, reworked carb and more. It's been fun and I enjoy riding it. Not a comfortable bike for long rides but a hoot around town, etc.. I have toyed with the idea of buying an '04 Fatboy in the Two-tone Impact Blue and Vivid Black but am still undecided. Fatboy is the way I would go though.... Unlike California where I spent 17 of my adult years, here in NY you get a very short riding season... Kinda ruins it if you know what I mean so I'm unsure if I want a new ride... Like I said the Sportster I have is a real fun ride. http://www.auffarth.com/mysportster.html

Count me in. I have a '98 FXDWG that I purchased new. I agree about the modding. I have slowly made lots of changes over the past 6 1/2 years and I hope to custom paint it this spring. I purchased a set of "gently used" tank and fenders off of ebay over two years ago and still have not gotten around to do the paint. Hopefully, I will get off my a@# and get started on it in a couple of months.

Congrats on the new bike!

I also have a Fat Boy...I bought a 2003 100th Anniversary hog, with black/silver paint, just like what was in the catalog. I've ridden the rocket bikes for years, but this is the first cruiser I've owned. I like it; it's not as heavy as I thought it would be, handles okay, and runs great. Of all the other bikes I own (ZX12, R1, and Busa...but just sold the Busa), everyone likes the Fat Boy the most. They want to take pix with it, ride on it, touch it, etc. It's considerably slower than my other bikes, but I can live with that. It's a little slower in the quarter mile than my stock 2001 L (according to the mags, it runs high 13s at 95-96 mph).

I'm keeping it stock for now, but I'd love to add some pipes one day, so I can hear (and feel) that satisfying Harley V-twin rumble...

I think you'll really like your new, shiny bike!

I traded my 100th 2-tone 1200 Custom in on my 03 L. Been nice to have both, but could only afford one of them...

I just traded in my Fatboy on an '04 Road King. I loved my chromed and lowered fatty (even though I forever was made fun of for riding a "woman's bike), but moved from Nebraska to Atlanta last spring. That 1600 mile trip, one-way, to Sturgis on a fully loaded, lowered, stylin' fatboy was rough. I'm looking forward to haulin' *** this year on my suped up bagger.
