does anybody have shaved handles?

My truck is getting some work done in the shop and i was deciding whether or not to shave the door handles. the tailgate is definitely gone and reversed to the inside. The side steps and roll pan are also going to get the flush look, no line or crack where water can get in.
anyway does anybody have the shaved handles. what are the cons of having them. obviously the pro is the truck will look smooth and sweet.
does anybody have it with the stock alarm?
the guy who is doing it is a good buddy of mine. he's done a few before on show cars. the truck is a daily driver. he said he can install a safety release, emergency latch or something rather in case the battery goes.
i just need some opionions and help.
thanks

i think it looks good on s10's but I wouldnt do it on my Lightning. If you want it done, and can get a good deal on it, go for it. I just think it looked better on the S10's.

The only con is it is not NHRA or IHRA legal(Safety reasons). So basically if you do not race then its cool.
