Im wanting to do the console mod on my L and I have found 3 on ebay.

1999 Eddie Bauer Expedition
2000 Eddie Bauer Expedition
1999 Expedition XLT

Will these work? I have heard that the 2000's are the ones to get because they are wider than previous years. Is that true? Also, what kind of paint would I need to mach the interior.

The wide one.(the other 2 will work also, just not look as good, too narrow)

Also from what I can see.

It is missing the mounting brackets , about $50 each( You will need 2) , and also the plastic shell in the middle .

OK then, can I also get the shell at a dealer? Also, did Ford ever color the console gray like the interior of the Ls or do all Expeditions come with tan interiors? Seems like every one I find on ebay are only tan. Oh well, I'll be willing to paint it as long as I can get my hands on a damn console. There are several junk yards around here but are small so they never have what Im looking for.

That is why I said F' it and just ordered the whole thing from FoMoCo. It costs a little more (I got a good discount) , but I had it in 2 days and it was gray.
