That's damned impressive. Makes me think twice about buying an aftermarket blower.

Nah. I can always have it ported later, too..... When the warranty expires.

Either way...it deserves a holy crap. When I get the guts to put the 6 on it...It is going to blow the before number away.

Do you think you'll be doing that soon, I ask because I'll probably send mine to get ported next week and since I have a 6# right now I'm thinking it's a bit too much for the stock block. Based on your numbers, do you think 460-480 HP realistic and safe?

generally 450 hp is the limit for stock blocks..

after that: (IT'S A CRAP SHOOT)

those numbers look good. Since our initial 30RWHP test we have improved the flow quite a bit in the porting, so it doesn't suprise me that you are getting that much of a gain by stepping down on pullies. If you had kept the same pulley size it would have made a nice number

the safest pulley we have been recommending is a #4 lower. I'm sure you could do more, but there's some risks involved in anything past that!

Your the man Brian.....it is real darned nice to get pleasantly surprised like that.....be looking for more orders from my neck of the woods. Your blwer has everyone here crapping...LOL.

I am real darned glad I didn't do my first pulls with the old pullies I had. I was running a 6 lower and 2 upper to get what I am getting now with the 4 only...and gaining some ponies to boot....very cool indeed.

I will be doing some more testing with the larger boosts...but very darned cautiously...I'll post the dynoes when I do it. I just want to let it warm some here. Maybe some warmer air will help that AF number.

Thanks Again...It was a pleasure,

Rocks

Keep in mind that he has full exhaust work and e-fan also.

I agree with l-menace. That is why I am having to take a deep breath on this one. I never expected to get 15-16 lbs of boost with the 4lb over pulley.

IMHO there is quite a difference in risk between 460 and 480 H.P. with stock rods. 480 H.P. on a stock block is for the folks who have a built block on order already...LOL. Actually, I already have Mike Troyer working on the details of mine. He does my tunes and is not real excited about me taking this block much further. Even without detonation, the stresses of making 450 H.P. to the rear wheels is just asking for a broke rod.

Yep...having as many "stress reducers" as possible can't hurt, thats for sure.

I don't make a habit of waving my flag, but I'll post it below just so anyone that is thinking of pushing the rods can see what mods may help.

It will be all right (safe) to run a #6 lower with a build bottom end? or even a #8 lower and having a blower ported by you guys?
