IAT location

I recently added a pro-m and 42#s but there is not place to put the IAT sensor. Can I just mount it in the engine bay by the air filter since this is the aprox temp of air going into the engine?

if im not mistaken thats how the airraid kit does it

the airaid kit has a hole in the side of it for the IAT sensor.
