Need HELP viewing SRT10 Video

I'm embarrassed guys but my home PC won't load or won't allow me to view that video. Winamp comes up and I click on 'Video' and all it does is show a blank screen but with the audio,

I may have had a virus-attack on my PC several weeks ago? I now have all new 'innards' in my PCU. Everything else works fine but no video playback from the URL addy provided.

I have Quik-Time and Windows Media Player loaded too.............

Help!

Dan

Thanks Gator but it's on my hard drive...I think? The icon for the SRT10 video is now displayed on my 'desktop'. That means it's on my h/d, right? If so, I still can't get it too play/view.

If your running Windows 98 it can't be used with WMP 9.

I played it without a problem using my Windows media player. Try redownloading the video, then right click on it and select open with WMP....see if it works, if it dont, just try with all your viewing programs.

Its a WMV file which I think HAS to be played in Windows Media player. Im not sure if the other players have started supporting WMV or not..

Check to see if the size of the file on your PC is right - It should be 580 k or so ( about 1/2 a mb )

Try opening windows media player from the start menu and then choose file open and open the file that way... Or choose start then run and type wmplayer.exe then hit enter.

PS - Microsoft STOPPED supporting Windows 98 this month.. That means NO - or less secutityy fixes etc etc
Time to UPGRADE....

Being a Dedicated Lesbo short film specialist I'll add this.
Last time I had prob's Dan, I found this the easiest way to fix ALL THE PROBLEMS were just to --> "Delete all your Players"
(They're free anyway) Then simple download the newest Microsoft Media Player from they're site, later you can go back and add Real Player (yick) if you want, An Apple player, etc...
just make sure you DO NOT make any of them your default player.

Windows Media Player 9 Series (for Windows 98 SE, Me, and 2000)
Second one down is for ME

All that means is that winamp has stolen the attributes of the wmv files and HOPES to be able to play them

Did you try playing it in windows media player ?

try "SHIFT - right clicking" on the file on your hard drive and choose "open with" then choose media player
