WTF happened to my thread? What does any of this have to do with a dead predator???
By the way Sharpshooter, thanks for being the only one to apparently attempt to help me.
Spanky your first few posts make no sense at all. If a tuner has the capability at all to add a "custom tune" there is nothing stopping them fro putting on a "canned" tune they know is safe for a given vehicle with a given set of mods.
The bug you refer too is probably what they are trying to fix (the fact that you can place a tune from a different model/year onto a predator meant for something else), it wouldn't suprise me in the least if thats real, as I imagine most of these data files (a.k.a. "tunes") are all probably very similar in structure and size across a big part of the ford line.
The rest of the accusations and name calling are not only off-topic, but are rather annoying to sift through as well...
I haven't spoken to JL since I posted saturday, but will be tomorrow morning. I have every confidence he'll hook me up and make it right...

Spanky, I didnt understand what you were saying until your last post. Your 1st post states there is no way for JLP to install his own tunes before he see's your base tune. Now you say he found a back door, they are 2 totally different things.

Sorry i wasn't clearer in my original post.
edit: The back door is the bug that is allowing this "pre-programming" to occur. If you look at the chevy predator you cannot pre-program the predator and you have to send your tuner the downloaded info off of your pcm so the tune can be written.
