Brake line busted or was cut... One or the other. I had to go through a red light doing 55 or so and almost hitting 2 cars. I guess I was kinda lucky. I just downshifted and luckily was able to get into a parking lot where there weren't many cars.

I want a plate so bad. How does it work? Do you just pay for the plate and thats it? Or do you have to pay monthly to keep it?

Not sure how DMV works in TX, but here in NJ it's a one-time fee of $50 bucks. They issue a new registration with it and that's that.

I don't know why you got a personalized plate Dan...you never drive that truck! How many miles do you have on it?

I got the pleasure of driving mine in the snow last week. It wasn't too bad (with the new F1's)...after I got it started anyway. I still don't know what the problem was, I removed the chip and disconnected the battery. When I reconnected everything it started. Of course the wind chill was -30 when I had to do this. By the time I got home from where I was in PA, it was a big salt bomb.

Download the form from the Texas DOT site, fill it out and mail it in with a $40 check. It's then $40 a year on top of the normal fees to keep it. It take about 4 weeks for the process to work.

Hmmmm..Let's see. I picked it up in June '02 with 7,200 on the clock. I drove it daily for 6 months when I first got it and it had about 13,500 when I parked it. That was in Dec. '02. Since then I've put on about 2,000 miles for a grand total of 15,500 ~.
