Corner-Carver A-holes
Corner-Carver A-holes
I tried to sign up to be able to post on corner-carvers.com. You can't sign up on line so I sent an e-mail to the moderator explaining that I was one of the few L owners that like to carve corners and I would like to join the message board to learn and share my experiences. It's been over a month and they did not even answer my e-mail. Arrogant ba$tards! I guess if you have a truck instead of some little corner rocket your not welcome. Well I hope to see them at the track someday and blow their a$$es in the weeds. As you can tell, this really pi$$es me off.

I'd talk to stan (I believe his UN is RUSLOW) over on the NLOC board. He also uses his truck as a corner carver and developed his on suspension for it. just an idea.

All I wanted was a place to ask questions of people that know lots about driving on a road course........tires, brakes, shocks and how to set up to go faster. There is not much of that kind of info on the Lightning boards. I should not have called them A-holes as most of them are probably great guys! I just took offence to them not acceptimg me and my Lightning. I'm the one that came off sounding like an A-hole! I should not have posted this.

Yeah I believe the site is about as big as they want it to be. You'll notice there's no advertising and whomever runs it seems to pay out of their own pockets for it.
There is very little as far as lightning specific tech on there (they're mainly mustang and cobra guys). For your general questions, use the search button on there, as just about anything has been answered before.
If you've never OT'd before, I'd say take your L the way it is (stock?), with an extra set of brake pads at the least and go try it out and determine what needs improving from there. Odds are if you're new to it, the driver will be needing the most improvement (all drivers are that way, even me).
Also I believe Tim Skelton has a pretty good site with some auto-x/OT type tech on it.

<-----One of the few guys that got in BEFORE the lock down. You can't get in unless someone else backs you up and states their online reputation that you aren't gonna whine, moan and **** your pants when someone says something you don't like about your car, truck, TUNER, etc. etc.
Lots of good informative tech on dang near anything you can imagine.
No drama, no idiocy, no cry babies... it's as close as you'll get to an online UTOPIA.
SUCK IT.

Who cares if they have all the info in the world? If they can't bother to answer his email or post that the site is closed membership, then they're jerks. Common courtesy, whether behind a keyboard or in a garage, is the same. Treat others as you would want to be treated.
It's obvious they have bandwidth problems, and the site is very slow. I've checked out the site a few times, but it's so focused on Mustangs, that I don't think L enthusiasts will get anything but generic conceptual help. No big loss. I place much more value on Stan's advice on the rare occasions he posts here or NLOC.
