Boost drop off

I have been reading up a lot ltely on 03 cobras trying to figure out what the do's and donts are on them. I noticed they all are talking about boost drop off when running upper pulleys on them. THey say that it will go fro like 15psi down to 12psi. How come a cobra running 15psi wont hold boost like a L running 15psi? I know my truck builds boost during a 1/4 run not looses it. My guage starts at 12 and ends a little past 14. I guess i was wondering if anyone else had thought of this comparison.

Probably because they turn more RPM's than we do so the blower is being spun way to fast.

It's called adiabatic efficiency vs volumetric efficiency. Cobras pull alot harder on the top end than our trucks do. And most of the Cobra guys that put full exhaust on actually lose boost. But it all about efficiency, not the highest boost number!
