i possibly could have just used fiberglass and had it fit, i never thought of that. the big problem that i was worried about wa rattling, i wanted the box to be as rigid as possible to avoid any of that. im almost positive that if you have the fiberglass skills you could make it work!

twisted99, the color doesnt really matter as long as you dont mind doing some painting, i painted mine on my balcony woth some dupli-color and it matches pretty good...plus its so far away from anything else that is that color, its hard to tell that its a little off.

Guys - I am assuming the size of the Expy console is the same in my 2001 SCrew. If so, here are some pics of the 8" sub box that I built for my console. Sound is great for an 8" sub.
Oh, and before I get flamed here, I no longer have L badges on my truck - those are old pics in my gallery:

Hey, Lightning Crew, I have passed your truck coming down Hamiltion Mill Rd. before. Im impressed! Very clean man. I work at the Autozone in Buford. I have had my black L for about two months now, but you may have seen my bagged black Mustang there before.

sadf - thanks for the compliments - I actually live off of Hamilton Mill Road. I see a lot of modded Mustangs around here, so not sure which one is/ was yours. I need to come up to Autozone and let you take me for a ride in your L. I have never ridden in one, just have always admired them.

denny - I had a few rattles until I lined the (OK, this may get confusing) inside of the outside shell with Dynamat. This really tightened everything up. The only rattles I get now are if I have any change in the cup holders and they start bouncing around when the bass is turned up. Not only does it sound good, it actually vibrates the seats because it is sitting so close to you.

denny-

what year expy did you pull that from? I have been calling every salvage yard and cant seem to find one anywhere. I have the upholstery guy all set up to do the work, but we are waiting on a console.

Your's looks awesome! If i could only find that console now. E-bay has one but the price is jumping too steep for a part that should run $75 from a scrap yard. I think someone should carry these things (Other than LWM who has been out of stock for months)

Sorry for the ramble

Denny

Did you go ahead and get your Passenger seat cutup or did you get another driver seat?
Maybe I'll run into you somtime soon I've had the console in my truck for about a year now and not sure I wanna cut the Passenger seat.
So I'd like to see yours to see how it looks in person?
I currently have a Spearco racing seat and my stock driverside seat in the passenger spot.
Thanks

I only date women with nice DSLs. Why would I want to put a console between me and them?
