need help please, oil in intake elbow

I was preparing to change my air filter today on my ’01 L, and noticed a fair amount of motor oil trapped in the bellows or corrugated portion of the elbow between the filter box and TB. Is this from the pcv valve not being 1 way?

The bottom of the TB blades are also bathing in oil..

How do I fix this problem?

I would imagine this is not good, and I will need to remove the whole intake track to clean everything, including the intercooler.

I’ve heard of 2 fixes, an oil separator, and a cobra pcv. Will either or both of these fix my problem (assuming this is the problem)? What else can I do, what other options are there?

TIA,
Ryan

Get a cobra PCV and stick a dime in the hose on the back of the intake. That should get rid of most of your oil problem.
