Eibach Springs ? Anyone ever use an Eibach product?

I'm looking at a set of Eibach springs, but have heard mixed opinions from the mustang and import crowds.
I'd like to know if anyone here has owned a vehicle with Eibachs before and what you thought...

From what I hear,

PRO:
good price
progressive spring can be stiff and comfortable at the same time
reputable name
high R&D budget

CON:
like borla, good rep but no vehicle-specific experience
progressive springs may not provide good transitional handling
springs may settle over time and tend to loose performance faster than stock

Don't buy Eibachs. They go flat over time. Get ahold of Ruslow and buy his springs. Top notch guy in my book and I haven't even purchased anything from him.

Nathan I've had them on front of my truck since 2000 without issues. 3 " drop.

been there, done that, lesson learned...

Nathan,

IMHO, Eibach springs are less than desireable for those that pummel apexes on a regular basis.

I dug up a couple of threads outlining my struggle with Eibach hardware.

Hope this helps.

I've got em on my truck right now, and the coils look damn near welded together. I plan on upgrading to some of RUSlow's springs when I get the chance.

I have had 2.5" drop coils on my truck for damn near 6 years now. They ride great, and handle well. I like em.

thanks for the opinions. I'm going to pass on the eibachs. from what I've seen elsewhere opinions are just as varied. some people really like them but others have had bad experiences. the ratio of good/bad doesnt make me confident enough when there are other alternatives. thanks

Well I have purchased stuff fro Stan, he sells great stuff, and will tell you what will work best for your needs.

It all depends on how you want your truck to drive what springs you want.

The stock springs have a 650# spring rate
Stan can sell you a set of springs from 650#'s to well over 1000#'s

I feel for most people 750#'s will be a great overall spring rate. Then add a set of hotchkis sway bars and you will really love the ride.

I am sure you or anyone will love his suspension components.

Does Ruslow offer a 1" drop for the front?
