Who ran the 13.23 bone stock???

'01's wife here.

The BS is getting pretty thick on LS1.com ( I know.......... big surprise). I need some help here. I know it was one of the tuners who bought his truck new.......... drove it right to the track from the dealership.......... and shot off the 13.23. However, I don't remember who it was.

Thus, any help would be appreciated. Frankly, I am getting tired of the idiots over there claiming that the fastest a bone stock Lightning will run is 13.9-14.1.

They have the philosophy that if they haven't seen it personally........... it doesn't exist. Based on that philosophy, a million dollars certainly doesn't exist........... as I have certainly never seen it.

If anyone is interested in the stupidity.......... here it is. http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread...5&pagenumber=1

It isn't until page 3 that the true stupidity shows up. It only gets worse from there.

Thanks in advance.

13.23 is really good, but I remember someone recently pulling off a 13.4x stock time.

LOL !!!!

I told ya it wasn't pretty. Actually, it is pretty sad really.

The funny thing is that on another post I had stated that I thought the radical Dodge guys were worse than the radical GM guys............. maybe I was wrong. They are both as bad as each other, they just drive vehicles with different badges on them.

The really silly thing is that we currently own more GM's than Fords (4 GM's, 3 Fords, 1 Mazda)......... however, because I do own ANY Fords, I am automatically the enemy.

Some of them really need to work on their writing skills also.

Chevy guys are impossible. They are so full of themselves and refuse to believe a ford can be faster than them. That idiot has all the proof that can be given to him on the 13.2 run, and even an offer to call Johnny and still wont believe it. Jesus they are just a waste of time. That's why I hate that board. At least L owners accept and believe when another car is quicker. There are always freak cars that are quicker than most others of its kind . . . .don't they know that by now? When one of their guys runs an amazing time stock, they are a god . . . when we do it, we are full of *****.

Bone Stock

I ran a 13.3 bone stock. That was at Cecil, November 02. I'm sure someone has run a 13.2.

I ran a 13.58 @ 100.0 (1.94 60' on F-1's) with an airbox mod, removed spare tire, and boost bypass. The conditions sucked-82 degrees and a 10-15 MPH headwind. I got hammereed by all the purists on this site who said my truck wasnt really stock, so I put ALL of the stuff back on the truck and went to the track the following weekend. In 67 degree weather and no headwind, I popped off 3, thats 3 runs in the 13.4X range at 10X. The best part, is that after my second run a middle aged guy with a 99 Z-28 lost 20 bucks because he thought his SLP modded sled could take me. Lets just say 13.4 beats a 13.6.

You gotta give props where they are due, I dont care if its a friggin Kubota tractor that runs a 12.5, power is power, and a low ET is a low ET. Hell, Ive got a video of a turbo Dodge mini-van that raped a Camaro on its way to a low 12 second run. Some people are just ignorant.

Nasty Wendy has run 13.2 stock in her lightning. She's a member here from Louisianna. Maybe she will chime in.
