Reasons & advantages why Ford

switched to Bilsteins in 2001? Specific info wanted and appreciated! Although my 2kl only has 15k maybe I should upgrade?

Better ride, better handling, and ride control. SVT got lots of complaints about the factory Ford shocks that were on the 99&00's.

what were ride, handling issues on 99 & 00 that needed correcting? Bilsteins improved in what way? Looking for specificity. Thanks!

Maybe I can help as I had a 99 Lightning for 2 yrs before I traded it in for the current Lightning. Where the rear Bilsteins really shined, was on a bumpy high speed curve. The old trucks *** end would start bouncing in the rear and give you a very uneasy feeling. I took my 01 on the same highway at speed, with no uneasy feelings. The *** end stayed firmly planted. Hope this helps
