I think I remember reading or being told that once a black revolution chip has been programmed by a specific tuner, then only that tuner can reburn it. I wasn't sure if that meant modifying the existing tune or wiping it completely and putting an entirely new program on it -- or both.

if it's a black revolution it can be reburned by any dealer that has a revolution burner. They won't be able to adjust your current tune, but they can overwrite it with their own files.

A black Revolution chip can be programmed by any CMR dealer. It can't be READ by another dealer, which means if you wanted a different CMR dealer to make tweaks to your curret tune, that won't happen. But it can be reprogrammed.
