i would get a preditor from Sal at PSP. i love my psp tune.

The PREDATOR is a pretty sweet tool, I talked with Sal yesterday, call him up he will explain what things the PREDATOR'S can do that just a chip can't.

Plus the PREDATOR won't void your warranty.

 

Your truck is a 01 so warranty isnt gonna be a factor much longer anyway unless you got extended. I have a JDM flip chip in mine and have been very impressed with the tune since day 1. Which was 2 years ago. IF you have warranty or are gonna have it for a while get the predator. I would have gotten it if it was avaiable when i got chipped way back when.

 

I've had JDM chip in just about everything I've ownd from a GT, Cobra, Lightning, and Powerstroke. Always awesome tunes and great service.

Feel free to call me up at the shop and we can discuss your options and what we can do for your set-up.

 

If you are going to trickle-mod (one mod this week, another in a month, etc) then the Predator makes a lot of sense because you can reflash without any downtime. However, if you change your mods very rarely, or need to be able to swap programs on the run (nitrous?) then a flip chip is better.

Either way, stick to the well known L tuners for a good tune, because otherwise you're just picking your poison.

 

I have a JDM chip the my tunes have been solid, thats where my money would go. Good Luck, Todd

 

I say go with JDM

Superchips has a new 4 bank chip comming out soon, if not out allready.

Also superchips custom will be coming out with a programer simillar to the preditor. You will be able to get dyno tuned programs, or JDM's custom tunes loaded on this new tool.

I would go with the predator, superchips, or Sal. I have only heard a few positive JDM stories, and their customer service (which is the item you should me most concerned with) leaves a bit to be desired.
