New best 60ft on Nittos

Sunday at HRP in Baytown Tx I was able to get a 1.58 60ft on Nitto DRs. I ran them at 15.5 lbs of air and left the line a little over 1200 RPMs. Has anyone got a better short time than that???. My L was just under 5000 lbs.

DAMNNNNNNN man, 1.58 on a nitto, that's amazing. (what kind of rim? Stock 18" or what? )
Do you have a stall, or stock tranny? 1.58 is amazing even with slicks. Come up here, bolt them tires to my truck, and run my truck will ya? I'm hoping for 1.7's out of et streets in the spring, hah 1.5 You are amazing. Congrats, Shane

Shane thanks and I am running chromed 02 rims. I have the 2400 PI from JDM in the truck, but left the line a little soft due to conditions. The only thing that I think hurt my top end was the 20 MPH head wind.

Congrats on the nice 60ft time.

Its important to have a good short 60ft time when you need a vehicle that can beat out others for those "close to the door" parking spots at the local mall. LOL

Yes, I didn't have any traction issues on that run and it was stable on the big end where I was worried the tires start walking. The 1/8 came at 7.2 secs and than I think the wind became a factor.

TIMEOUT Guys, These timing Lights can malfunction and I have serious feelings that this happen to you. Either way a 11.5 is a very repectible time.

Jim, You no spring chicken back me up on this and my post is in no way meant to take anything away from Knockout. Im just being realistic, remember when **** said he cut a 1.49 on Slicks and ran a high 12. What were your other 60fts and ETs that day ? Also what Suspension mods ?

BigFan,

You're right. But, Mike has been very close to these 60ft times the last couple of runs. So he has been able to prove that its for real deal. We sent him out a new chip for his run this weekend and thats7 why he clicked off a slightly better 60 ft than last time.

I have been running 11.4, 11.5, 11.5, 11.51, so my ETs have been about the same. My 60s were 1.65, 1.67,1.65 and 1.58. The big thing that changed was that I dropped the air pressure way down. I dropped with the tires hot after a run so they could of been below 15 when cold. The side walls were soft to the touch and after the run a couple of guys can by to check it out, and showed the flashlight on the tires to see if they were Nittos. To my suprise and theirs the tires had creases in them were they had flexed under the stress like a slick. As I said before the big end conditions were not the best, and I feel Jims chip did its job on the low end like he told me it would. I hope this is the end of my defense...........If you don't think I can, I will be at HRP this weekend so we can hook up.

I believe you bro! That's just fricking BADASS! Furthermore, I've run at HRP before and can vouch that it is a good hooking track, especially when prepped. Congrats!

Later,
Rob

SLVRNBLK, That is one bad ride. I like how you did the silver black combo.
