Lightnings have black boxes?

I read a small article that said every ford thats a 2002 or newer comes with a black box that logs information. Such as speeds and accident related info.

Has anyone tried removing theirs or know what exact the black boxes record in the lightnings? I don't like the diea of not being able to plead the 5th with OUR black boxes. judges can file orders to have them confiscated and the information can be used to prosecute or let you off.

?

The module is only in a few Ford vehicles. Here's a link to a list of cars that have it.http://www.harristechnical.com/downloads/cdrlist.pdf

I would imagine it only a matter of time before BIG Brother is in every vehicle produced.

From: Colorado,
I understand that they can also record what is being said by the occupants of the truck 15 seconds prior to an accident.

In 90% of the accidents so far, the driver has said something like "Ohhhh SHEEEEEET"

In the other 10% of the accidents they said "Here, hold my beer! Watch this!"
