Any Chicago L owners around?
Nothing like washing your truck with the thermometer in single digits . . .
I bundled up and washed the L yesterday, it was 19 by the overhead thermometer.
Then a couple of coats of Zaino and tossed in the fresh K&N.
Here's the boost observations I was waiting for:
Paper filter:
at 45 degrees (a few weeks ago) - 8lbs at WOT, 3rd gear, up to 10 lbs at shift.
at 19 degrees (yesterday morning) - 10lbs at WOT, 3rd gear, up to 12 (est) at shift.
then the treat after the long wax session -
K&N at * 9 * degrees last night - pretty much pegged the meter, probably around 12 lbs. There was even an A4 1.8T quattro that maybe? was trying to keep up with my tests at the lights. I'm not sure if he was trying to race or not, but it was fun to drop it with the blower whining.
And the Zaino came out great! I can't believe it looks like a mirror. I'll post some pics next week when my lid gets installed.
