Rocker Panels, broken support ribs?

Changed the oil in my truck today and noticed that 3 of the plastic support ribs are broken on my rocker moldings. I just had this replaced for the same reason. Checked out the other side that was there from the factory and it has one of them broken. Have any of you guys had this same problem?

I noticed some of mine are broken too...

of course mine's that way because I ran over a traffic cone at 60 or 70mph

but seriously, no, I've never heard of them breaking by themselves, but I'd imagine that most people never look at them either.

later,
chris

I noticed one already broke on my new truck within a week or two of buying it. A little epoxy would probably take care of it but I haven't got around to it yet.

I don't think you should have to epoxy stuff on a brand new truck!

Yea, that's what I did for the pasenger side of my truck because one of them was broken. That was about two months ago and this new one has 4 of them brocken now!? When I have my new one replace I think I'll go over them and make sure are not too tight.
