bogarts
i have american racing bajas with hoosiers for the track and i noticed how heavy they are compared to my friends bogarts. i want bogarts but i was trying to figure out if the make them in 16s the d10 style thanks. if you could post pics of your L with bogarts that would be appreciated
TTT, I'd like to know about this as well.
does bogart make a 16" D-10?
I didn't mind too much grinding on my rear brakes, but the fronts are another story. I'm not real big on messing around with them. they do like 75-90% of the stopping or something like that.
BTW, I checked bogart's website, but it still sucks. no sizing info that I can find.

I am almost positive they do make a 16" D-10, I am 99% sure someone on here has a set of rears. The grinding in the front is nothing when compared to the back. Not bad at all. 15" all the way around for me. -Mat-
is it just me or would it not make more sense to go with a 16 front?
the benefits of grinding the rear brakes to accomodate 15" wheels/slicks are:
1. VASTLY increased tire and wheel selection (compound/brand/width/etc)
2. Increased sidewall (better flex for launches)
but on a drag FRONT wheel/tire, you actually want the LARGEST front circumference or diameter wheel/tire that you can get. this helps with rollout.
unless there are fewer tires and or wheel styles available in 16" (which is very possible, but I don't know, I haven't looked yet) then there is no point in grinding front brakes except from the appearance standpoint of having matching sized front and rear drag wheels?
am I correct in this or am I missing something?

nevermind, I just searched www.summitracing.com and www.jegs.com and answered my own question.
the only drag style front runner tires available are in 15" sizes.
well that's not entirely true, there are a couple of 17" sizes, but they are all 2.5" wide!!! maybe not the best choice for a 5000lb truck
15's it is I suppose.

Looks like all your questions have been answered but I will confirm. Bogart only makes the fronts in 15" because of tire selection. As far as grinding for the front wheels, it is not much at all. You have to clean up the top side/edge and the bumps on the top have to be taken off.
For the backs, they do make them in both 15" and 16". As far as grinding, the rear 15" do take some work.

HI!... Just out of curiousity, how much did you guys pay for your 16x10(?) rears and 15x (?) fronts.
VINNIE : What is the size and back spacing your using on your truck? They seem to look like they fit within the body lines of your rear 1/4's. That's what I'm looking for. I think it looks so CHEEZY when the tires stick way out.
