my truck currently has Dual 40 series cat back exhaust. It still has all 4 of the stock factory cats on it. It sounds ok, but just not that grumble I want.

I plan to one day when I get $1500 to get a full long tube system, etc... but thats a little while away to drop on just sound..

anyway, i was thinking... if I had someone remove the cats and put on some high flow cats... would that make a big difference in sound? Would I be happy then?

then my next question is... when im ready to do the full long tube headers... can I just get headers? i mean will they go with the flowmaster mufflers and high flow cats?? or will I have to get all new mufflers, etc

also, can I get some kind of X pipe or H pipe now? or wait until I get headers???

where can I price this stuff at on the internet?

 

Bought a set of Carsound hi-flow cats for my L. Had them installed. OMG, they sound SWEET! They're the same company that makes Magnaflow cats, they're just not polished. It was a DRAMATIC improvement in sound.

You can get them off eBay for like $30/ea.

You can also get a Magnaflow muffler, with the built into the muffler X-pipe for a decent price, and get rid of those Flows.. some like 'em, but most who have heard other exhaust typically end up ditching them. This muffler will replace your 2 Flows. Put whatever tips you want at the end of it.

Later when I get LT Headers, I'll have some flanges welded on my current setup to accept the LT's.

It's the best way to go for sound

 

scott just get a magnaflow muffler and tips installed by terry and you will get that nice rumble u are probly looking for. Jacob has terrys mild exhaust, i think, and it sounds pretty damn nice.

Heck half the members on talon have either the wild or mild setup from terry.
