RIDES on TLC did a whole episode on that car.

605hp, a ton or torque.
Top speed over 260mph

Carroll SHelby test drove it and beat on it a little (burnouts and donuts) and approved it. Then signed it.

There can't be any way Ford will produce this car with 605 hp.
but I hope I'm wrong

a few more from the detroit auto show

LOL..........that is a theoretical top speed. There is no way it will even come close to that. I would be amazed if it hit 200.

too bad that car doesnt have a top. Honesty i think it looks very strange and doesn't really match the name thats tacked onto it. Looks very much like a european and asian designer met up and made the thing. I'd take an older one anyday.

And doesn't that bronco kinda look like an H2?

I wouldnt be surprised if it did. 605hp is plenty to reach that speed, all it needs is to be aerodynamically sounds and sealed, good gearing, a great set of tires, and a ballsy driver...all possible imo, especially if the current corvettes could reach just about 180 mph, and certain porsches somewhere around 190 with under 500 hp.

Carrol Shelby can suck my scrot. He is a used up has been that created a few cool cars back in the day. He is now nothing more than a faded legend grubbing for money and fame any where he can. (like selling Shelby chili mix). His shelby series one is a turd. I love that new cobra, but I wouldn't support Carroll. I also have doubts about an open roof roadster reaching 200mph. I'll bet it gets close in a hurry, but there has to be some real drag (just like on the originals, hence the design of the Daytona coupe) As far as that Bronco. Oh my God, I want one! Its about time Ford stepped up and started building real truck based "utes" instead of these weak azz "cute-utes" and luxo-barges. I love every single Bronco that has ever been made, including the slightly feeble Bronco II which I happen to own, and it makes a great winter vehicle!
Thank you for taking the time to read my rant!

I really like the new Bronco. I hope they make it more offroad like though....No seude seats, a real engine, and get rid of the independent suspension up front. Go with some Dana 60's instead :tu:
My old Bronco.....

havin fun....

Preppin it for paint

I just can't see it. It gets exponentially more difficult to go faster. There are 1000hp supercars out there that can only do 230.

Time will tell.
