Trouble making boost

I have defi link system gauges. Everything is stock except for filter, REM powertube and bassani cat-back. I get 7.5psi max

the only way to get it to go above vacum is to almost floor it, is this normal? Even for stock it seems difficult for my truck to build boost.
Here are my gauges.

Here is some thing you can try take your air filter out make sure that the air box is clean. Then take a short ride with out the filter see if there is any difference. It at least gives you a starting point.

You can also check the throttle cable to see how much slack it has. You can have some one step on the gas peddle and watch the throttle open up. You can see how much it's open by removing the rubber boot from the throttle body. Best to try step two without the truck ruining.
Not good to over rev!
If the jet doors aren't opening fulley you can remove some of the slack from the cable and your hooked! You can tell how much is full open by opening the jet doors by the lever on the right side of the throttle body.

Peace, Suavy

I don't see anything wrong with your truck. Max boost with stock pulley is only 8lbs. Factory gauge is way off. Mine goes way past 10lbs and almost pegs it, I still have a stock pulley setup. so don't trust the factory gagues

while running the factory pullies, filter box it pegs out at 8lbs. But when you put a open air filter kit on like the JLP, PSP,etc it will boost up to about 10lbs. Atleast when i put my airraid kit on i started boosting around 10lbs. Stock gauge peged out and my autometer boost gauge read 10lbs.

I am BONE stock...with a paper filter, if I kept the pedal to the floor through more than one gear, on days colder than 50 degrees, I could easily see 10, on the coldest days ive hit 11, maybe 11.5.

I just put in my defi boost gauge so thats why i am just now noticing this. On the defi boost gauge i get 7.5 max. This is when its 49 degrees outside too.

I never trusted the factory gauge in the first place. The factory one does go to 10psi at WOT though.
