Boss w/ supercharger

Heres a Boss F150 with a Procharger Supercharger. Do you really think it puts out somewhere around 400 horses?

All things considered that is a sweet truck. I really like the Boss ground effects.

one thing i always hated about the truck was the rear bumper, looks plain ugly. Otherwise it seems nice.

"SO THIS VEHICLE WILL BE A COLLECTORS ITEM, AND WILL GO UP IN VALUE IN THE YEARS TO COME."

Yeah im sure.

Actually, he said:

"NOT ONLY BETTER LOOKING THAT THE LIGHTNING BUT BETTER RUNNING THAN MOST!!! "

It's just a matter of opinion, but there's nothing wrong with what he said. I think it's a very unique and custom looking F150 that will run comparable with an L, but with a more unique look. Price seems very good so far also.

I don't know if you guys noticed it but this truck has no reserve price. I don't know WTF this guy is thinking. If those things sold new for $39K and he added the SC, Lowering kit, etc., he's gotta have better than $45K invested and he's at $15,100 now. Love to see how he's going to explain his way out of that mistake.

No way those have 400 horse witha Procharger. The reg 5.4 is lucky to dyno at 160-170 at the wheels although the 03's were rated at 260 hp. They dyno LOW. Our local dealer just put a blower on a reg. 5.4 truck and it made under 300 at the wheels

doesn't a stock 5.4 (non-supercharged) put out 300hp at the crank?
take into account the loss through the drive train, you are looking at about what? 230'ish at the rear wheels

Pre 04's were 260 at the crank. Was that Boss an 04? The pre 04's dyno very low....I have witnessed it

The '03 has 260 BHP. The '04 with the 3 valve per cylinder 5.4 makes 300 BHP. The motor makes good torque for towing, properly equiped it can tow 9,900 lbs. Although it is a big improvement over last years motor, it still aint no L.

Cool

HI!... Just so some of you guys know, the "99" - "03" 5.4's were rated at 260H.P at the flywheel. Most of them dyno out at 195 - 205RWH.P. In stock form there is roughly a 65H.P drivetrain loss with the 4R70-W tranny and 69H.P loss with the 4R-100 tranny.

Now this guy states that it's making about 400H.P, most likely he's talking flywheel H.P. That's about 140H.P (flywheel) over stock (260H.P). Now he says he has a CHIP, larger TB, and a after market MAF. Those 3 items alone are good for at least about 30H.P (flywheel). The SUPERCHIP alone on my truck gave 28H.P and 48FT/LBS of TQ. So taking that into account the SC gave hime about 110H.P (flywheel) gain, also remember that's at 10PSI boost. I don't find it hard to believe at all. Too bad the truck is FUGLY as hell.
