Thumbs up New Shifter Install (pics)

I installed my new billet shifter today. This is an incredibly well made piece, I mean it's perfect!! It's time consuming to install but not hard work at all, it took me about two hours and it's well worth it! The kit comes with everything needed to install it, includes a billet tilt lever also.

*Edit* I lowered the price to $125 for a limited time.

You have to remove the steering column shrouds (upper and lower), remove the ignition switch, remove the three wires from the overdrive button socket and pull out the wires. Fish the wires through the billet shifter and plug them onto the overdrive button, you won't be using the socket anymore.

I could probably install one in less than an hour now. It took me a half hour to figure out how to get the switch out... duh!!! After finding out how to do that it was easy.

The instructions were kind of vague on a few points of the install so I rewrote them after the installation while it was still clear in my mind. I'll include both copies of the instructions with the kit.

thanks for the response Chikenears. I will have to find may way up to your location in the near future.

Removing the upper and lower shroud sounds alot easier than fooling with the steering wheel.
