Retired, spend more time with my L than my wife, raced every week end for over 2yrs (2nd in Summit Super Series at Osceola Dragway 2003) After pulley and chip or reflash, slicks, everything else is a waste of money. Keep your money you'll spend on ported this and that and be happy with 12 sec. full size pick-up. If your 35 or so you'll know just how special and unbelievable that is. Be happy. Take your $10,000 in mods and buy a fox mustang w/ SB stroker or BB and go 9's or low 10's. Think how impresive it would be to pull your 9-10sec Mustang with a 12sec. Lightning. I'm putting my Flame suit on for the members that just can't handle the truth. Until we loss 1000-1500lbs and make our shoe boxs a little more air friendly were bucking the law of physics. Going fast and setting new speed and E.T. records is easy as hell. All it takes is MONEY. Ed

Bitter Taste

Soap, still tring to figure out who peed in my Honey Nut Cheerios. Stanton crosses my mind somtimes, I've learned to live with it, with some very expensive hr. long couch rides. Na I just get a little upset when I think of all the money I spent on mods that did nothing or very little. Not saying all turners are bad, I know some very good and honest ones.(only 1/2 should be in jail) In my post I was just tring to keep good honest hard working L owners from making the same boo-boo's I made. Maybe I got a little carried away sorry. Ed

Ed,

I appreciate the concern and I agree to some extent. After a certain point, usually the somwhere in the 12 second mark, mods start getting very expensive. It only cost about $1000 bucks to cut off a second or so, but after that, start digging. I appreciate the concern and trust me, I don't have 10,000.00 to put into mods even if I wanted to.
