Anyone use a LM-1 wide band?

Anybody used one of these?http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/lm1.php
My buddy bought one and I am going to try it on my truck. I am wondering how accurate they are and how much differancs it would make slipping it in the tail pipe vs welding in a bung?
Thanks

I have the LM-1. I can't vouch for accuracy but it's nice to hear 99svtlightning can.

Thus far I'm a very satisfied customer and I have two brand new spare Bosch Sensor's and the RPM accessory all for less then the FJO unit I'd think. (senor's run $25 but not from Innovate)

Can you datalog load, rpm, and air fuel on your computer with that seup? Sounds like a good deal if you can.

I have 2 questions.
I have kooks headers, the bung that needs to be welded in, does it require the header to be removed ? or should i put it in the catpipe right before the cat.
Thanks

I have JDM headers(don't know if they are the same as the Kook's headers you have). I'm guessing you could have the exhaust shop weld the bung on the cat pipe before the cat. Right behind where the header and cat pipe connect. They shouldn't have to remove anything to weld it on there. Either that or get rid of the rear O2 sensors and gut the cats.

I've heard of some problems with the LM-1 sensor being too close to the engine and overheating. It appears that it's best put it as far back as possible, but before the cats.

You can put the wide band sensor in place of the stock O2. The LM-1 has a programable output that can send the required narrow band signal to the PCM. You'd just need to splice into the stock wiring.

I have the LM-1 and it works well. Yes, it does overheat sometimes but that can be easily fixed with a heat shield, im just too lazy to make one. As for logging, they sell the RPM/Aux input box. It has an rpm converter built in as well as five other inputs. In order to record RPM you need a tach adaptor. With the inputs you can put things like tps, iat, boost, etc. You can set the ranges for each input as well. For ex, on the tps you can set a closed voltage and open voltage and it will automatically make a graph when you load the data on to a computer. In order to record boost you need a MAP sensor, you can either go with a used GM which is what most people do or MSD just came out with MAPs. Im going to go the MSD route. For everything (LM-1, Input Box, Tach adaptor, and MAP) it will cost you about 600 with the MSD MAP. IMO its worth it.
