Flex-A-Lite people are great!

I just got off the phone with these guys and they are great! I've had lots of problems with my fan (two new modules so far). The guy I talked to (Dave) is sending me a whole new fan....not just a new module but a complete new fan! They know they have a problem and have fixed some of the problems but are still working to improve it even more. Dave ask me to let everyone here know that if you have had problems with your fan to please call him for help. Dave is the customer service guy for Flex-A-Lite and his number is 1-800-851-1510 ext. 106

I think Dave is the guy who sent me a replacement controller when the original went out. Now that the replacement just went on my truck I'm going to look elsewhere for a controller. It doesn't make sense for me to keep replacing this thing and hoping my engine doesn't get hurt...

Call Dave and discuss this with him. They really want to make this work. He told me they have made ten changes to the module so far and they know more needs to be done.

Wasn't there a problem with the modules overheating and going out because of the placement instructed by flex-a-lite? They were telling you to put them too close to a heat source...Is that what's happening with ya'lls?

Dave is a great help. I bought my fans used and the wiring was all butchered. He sent me a whole new wiring kit for nothing. This was over a year ago. I mounted the VSC behind my passenger side headlight. The fans work great, but over the summer something started draining my battery after my truck sits for 4 or 5 days. Ford blames it on the fans, I can't see any connection there. I just called Dave and told him what Ford says, he told me to remove the fuse and see if it still drains the battery. If it does(which I doubt) he is going to send me a new VSC. Their customer service has been great. I was there when they installed the first "test" fan setup on a Lightning along with a magazine that did an article on it almost 2 years ago...JR

here is a pic of mine(borrowed back from Tim Skelton )

I mounted mine within 12" of the battery and still had problems melting the wires.

My battery has been going dead after a few days also. I don't know if it is related or not.

easter.. remove the fuse and see what happens. If it doesn't drain the battery call Dave and he'll send you a new VSC.. Mine is still sitting, waiting to see what happens.... JR
