Does the inter-cooler pump run with a thermostat that would come on at a certain temperature??? Or should it be on anytime the ignition is in the on position?? thks, in advance..

Basically after you turn on the ignition key there is a short delay then it's running.

At the track I use a jumper wire to keep mine running till I leave to go home. Helps to keep the temperatures down.

The jumper works for the Cobra's too

If I'm not mistaken, I think the intercooler pump uses a thermostat....and I believe the temp at which the intercooler pump starts working is 50 degrees F. Maybe some of the other guys/gals will chime in.

ACT2 (intake manifold air temp) has to get to like 60 some dgrees before the pump comes on...

I would assume the temperature being so cold is keeping the manifold cool enough to keep the pump from coming on.thks,

Txoutlaw is correct, the intercooler pump has an outside thermostat and the temperature must be at least 50, or so, degrees before the pump will turn on. The thermostat is near the intercooler pump in the front of the truck (Should be a small white ceramic looking object).

That's not for the I/C pump, it's the dropping resistor for the low side of the fuel system. It is mounted on the I/C pump bracket though.

The IAT2 sensor in the lower intake is what the PCM uses to control the pump. At 60 degrees post heat exchanger air temp, the pump will turn on. At 50 degrees, it will turn off. The on/off temps can be controlled via chip tune if desired.

Hope this helps .

I have a switch on mine so that as long as the key is in the on position the pump will be on. If for some reason i have dont want it to run right when the key goes on untill it goes off i turn the switch off but it stays on 99% of the time.
