Advice to new owners who want to modify
Before you start to modify your truck you should learn to use the search function. Many of our members are fully modified, and will give you great info. My truck was fully modified before I owned a computer, but I just got lucky, and hooked up with Sal, Jim, and J/L early on. These guys make excellent equipment, and are our three best tuners. JMO
Good advice. I have wanted to mod my L since I took it home, but didn't. I started reading, and asked a whole bunch of questions. Found out that the muffler I used on my GT's, the Flowmasters, work like chit on L's. Never would have know without asking. Had a guy I sold a Cobra to mod the hell out of it. He broke a piston. Ford inspector saw the marks on the upper pulley nut, the scraped ECM, and voided his warranty. I knew I wasn't going to put a chip in because I found out a programming type module was being worked on. Now we have the Predator. I'd rather ask too many questions and be cautious, than jump in head first with no data and end up with a blown up L and no warranty to fix it. JMO
LTNbolt I made that post because yesterday someone posted they bought a cold air and were unhappy wiyh it. Had he done a search I doubt he would have bought that brand. IF this is not true, then there is no hope for him.

That is by far one of the most useful websites Ive ever seen, some of it is outdated but it really still teaches the basics. Then as a Newbie you can go and ask more specific questions to your needs.
