He has a 2003 Harley Buell. It has a 1000 cc motor. I dont think its crazy fast, but he does. We've raced before and I was in my bike, my Gixxer 600 and I blew him away. It wasnt even close.
I think if we raced in my truck heads up it'd be a close race and I'd take him. Do you think I need the 4 cars? There is no way I'd lose if we raced at the track, and I had my slicks on and he gave me 4 cars right??

I bet that gixxer ate that ugly bike in no time..I think you should win in the truck 4 car head start from a dig?...put the gixxer in the back of the truck for more ego damage..ahahha

 

If it was an 04 I'd worry...they upgraded to the 1200cc motor w/ 103 hp. Just don't take him up on a bet on a curvy road hehe...those things handle like nuts

The buells a nice bike...for some reason I have a fear of racing a bike...probably cuz MOST could RAPE just about any lightning.

 

Nope, me 2..... 01' buell lightning and 02'svt lightning.....
Buell is a bit faster for now.. 12.2, the L is only running 13.5
but im working on it.....

Thanks for the info. I was looking at Buell's when I first started looking at bikes. Before I got my Gixxer 600 I wanted a Buell. I like the 03' Buell Lightning bike. My buddy got the Firebolt. What do you think it'll run with an ok driver? You said your's goes 12.2 is that stock or modified? If it is stock and he runs that and gives me a car or two, I think it'd be a close race. I'd rather just race heads up... What should he run stock? Oh and I dont have the Gixxer anymore. Thanks again for the info, Shane

Dont the newer 600's,yzf,gsxr,cbr, run in the high 10's Stock.no stock buell is turnin those #'s. I had a yzfr1 that ran mid 10's!!!! but had to sell it bc i was getting to ballsy with it.

 

This Buell Site is claiming the buell runs 11.71. Is that accurate?
Does the Buell run 12's or high 11's stock anyone know?
