Unhappy My Sick '03 L

Well the techs have started looking into the mystery of what happened to my L. When they plugged into the OBD II port I'm showing 18 trouble codes. The tranny tech and another guy drove it and got it to shift through all gears except OD, even though it's showing solenoid trouble codes like no power is getting to the solenoids. They were able to get it to shif manually. One of the other techs is going to clear all the codes, and reset the computer and Pats (whatever that is) and then see what comes up. I'll keep you all up to date as I learn more.
The original thread was OMG I need HELP!!!! FTVB Kaaboom

I don't know your full story about your transmission problems but look in your owners manual for the fuse with the description that says Automatic Transmission next to it and see if the fuse is blown. I've seen that a few times.

It was a fuse under the hood. Vehicle went to limp mode. How many have had this problem before, and if you've had it, has it ever happened again?

Thumbs up Glad you got it fixed

I looked back at your first post and it looks like several of the guys were correct. I believe WaveBlaster785 was the first so he gets first prize

I wonder what caused the fuse to burn?

P.S. Honorable mention to Rob02 for hitting the "limp mode" first.

Would be BENEFICIAL to all of us IF you could pinpoint the exact fuse, location of same, etc... Otherwise, what you went through and how to cure will be a mystery..

IF you know which fuse, PLEASE go there and get the fuse # and location and let us know.

This is a fuse YOU, I an all L owners will want to know of !!

I asked the tech to tell me which fuse, and the dumb a$$ wouldn't tell me. He thinks he found the cause. One of the O2 sensors at the back of the cat had the insulation burned and peeled. He was sure that caused the short that blew the fuse under the hood. He put a small bend in the heat sheild to prevent the O2 sensor from being able to hit the exhaust. It was hitting the exhaust pipe just befor the last bend to the inlet to the muffler. I'm thinking it was the tranny fuse like the other guys said. Most of the trouble codes that came up were tranny related. You will never believe your L could run so bad. If this happens to you, you'll at least know it's not too serious and know where to look first.

Thanks again for all your help. My L is healed again.

Can tell you I would have gone straight to the Service Manager and demanded that they show me where exactly that fuse was!!
I'm serious about that.. Your truck and your RIGHT to know exactly what they did...

The O2 Senssor shares a circuit with the solenoid, I've seen this before, Bluetooth had the exact same problem about 2 years ago.
I think he also had to replace the solenoid, it fried it.
F81Z-7G391-CA is the part number for the solenoid.
