Good kill gone bad

So I am coming home the other night and am behind one of those BMW "M" sedans. They are supposed to be pretty quick, right? Well, anyways I was behind him at the light and we were making a left turn. The light turns green and we proceed thought the intersection. I notice that he seems to be pulling away from me so I simply try to keep up with his acceleration......... Soon I realized he was trying to leave me? Well...........you know what you have to do at this point.......so I went ahead and let it eat......the truck downshifted and I pulled up next to him......and just as I got about even with his door and my RPMs reached 4K or so......my truck let out a scream that can only be described as NASCAR like.........yes my catback poped off.........My girlfriend freaked out and I was startled for a second and let out of it.........I pulled over at the next pulloff.......and slid the exhaust back on and babied it the rest of the way home.........Well, I was a little embarassed but all in all it was a pretty funny experience......After thinking about it on the way home I kinda wished I had stayed into it as I went by the guy.......He probably would have thought I had cut outs or something .........As it was he probably though I broke something.......Oh well, its all in fun........Just thougt yall would enjoy laughing at my misfortune......

Later,

Baker

Been there, done that.

Actually mine popped off about 4 or 5 times. 3 of them were at the track and since then I've been known as 'the guy who blew his muffler off'.

Damn "M" cars, ive got 2 friends with M3's. One an 02 SMGII, and the other with an 036spd. I always HANG with the 02, and Im BONE stock...cept BP. The 03 guy is another story, he just simply can drive...beat him every time. Great cars for the twisties though, and respectable on straightaways too for being a 6cyl. Anyone else encounter M cars?

A friend of mine has an M Roadster, which is nice to look at, but was never especially fast. He has been though so many cars, but when you see him drive you know why. He just cant do it. He kept claiming he would take the L...so finally I let him have his shot, for something more than bragging rights. Lets just say, he doesnt run his mouth too much when im around anymore.
