Question exhaust tips

what do you guys use to polish your tips? I washed my truck today after driving it in the mountains on snow and dirt. My tips are pretty dirty and not all the crap came off. Is there anything specific that you guys know that you can do to get them shining again?

I wet sanded my Magnaflow tips with 1500 grit and followed it up with Mother's stainless steel polisher.

They were blaaaaaack and came out pretty good.

Flitz!

Stuff works WONDERS on Stainless Steel!!

Had an old SS Stillen Maxima muffler that sat out in the elements for YEARS... used that on it - was like BRAND NEW! The guy I sold it to couldnt believe how nice it was

You can buy the stuff at almost any hardware store.

They can be dirty if you want, but i love the way the metal shines on the bassani's. Im gonna go try to get some of the stuff you guys suggested and try it out.

i guess i should have mentioned that theyre bassanis and not stock tips. im guessing that the stuff you guys said will work on both?

thanks for the help

I use Cerama-Brite -- not sure abot that spelling. It's available at Home Depot -- designed to clean ceramic cook tops I think.

My bassani tips have those same black marks an no matter what i try they wont come out. I looking into having them chrome plated or something b/c its making me mad.
